My brother picked up a silver 05 a week ago. The interior is so much more refined with the leather (he has ssl). The tranny is incredible, shifts like butter! The sound is 100x better than my stock system. And his car STOCK is just as fast as my car with mbc, flash, TBE, and highflow cat! I couldnt believe how well his car handled/accelerated!

I am so jealous! Well at least I have an s2000 :lol:

Yes this is true, his car does have more HP and Torque than yours .... the leather isn't that great to me and the 05 tranny from my experience does not shift smoother than 03s. I compared them side to side .... the MR tranny on the other hand shifts as smooth as butter ;) Don't forget he has ACD and an LSD that improve his handling (but only under extreme conditions) ...

Have him race my 03 or go around a track. I bet you $100 he will lose. BAD

WELL DONT' KNOW IF THEY ARE FASTER THAN THE 03'S BUT I DO KNOW THE TRANNY IS A LITTLE BETTER, from what i hear, but 05's do have ACD and LSD, but all i really want different on my 03 is an MR 6 speed tranny and a new clutch. ACD really isnt' going to help me out much if any.

Whaa...........dude this isnt about whose dick is bigger. You are abviously modded pretty well by looking at your sig. This is about the 05's stock being pretty fast and refined.


That said, there are people on this board that have noticed that the 05's boost higher than the 03/04's from the factory. Also, i noticed that there is NO high RPM fall off like the stock 03/04's.

As HwangTKD said there is no high RPM fall off i can keep going over 7g but afread to keep going. as trann. i never been in any other evo just my 05. trann nice. when i flat foot shift yes does hit a little not the trann the shifter need to mod that hehe. sounds the same as others just trann little louder sounds more races. when let off gas has bit of back firer. sounds cool. haha. and what other thing i notest is on a 2003 evo and stock talking about the exsues is a lot more compresson going out. so eather on 2005 they made more cats or somthing diff about that. so can just add all test pipes and see what happens. but thats about it. and the ACD and what not i dont know if like. what does it do. i mean i take turns and when i want to get the back end out sliding a bit it like power goes by by and stops me from going faster which yes safer but yes sucks no fun. and i do have the leather and sound what moon roof. only got becasue was daily car. and was deff worth it. i like but when take the turns to fast i slip out of seals a little but they do hold me in.

i've had both an 03 and now my 05. the leather is nice...the system is also decent...but performance wise....stock for stock....i didn't really notice much of a difference

REZ90 i dont think you can tell from just sitting there you need dyno spec plus track times. thats my thought. and evo they are very hard to feel the diff power and what not the best way to go up aganse people and then you will notice how fast they are.

my friend has an 03 with TBE, MBC, Intake, HKS 264 cams with a custom flash.

I have an 05 with TBE, MBC, Intake, mail in flash. He pulls about half a car on me:lol:

If I got a custom flash with cams, it'd be lights out for him;)
