Can't Lease The Evo!!!
Apparently there are no special or even regular lease programs for the :mitsu: Evo!! {thumbup} I actually was told this a couple days ago, but forgot to post it..
This means that you will have to PURCHASE your cars ONLY, (unless some local banks or National lenders come up with a lease program..) Good luck on a low payment now...Thanks a lot :mitsu: Would have been nice for SOME type of program.. Maybe a :mitsu: sponsered lease program is among the surprises in store for all with cars on the way??!! :dunno: We will see... |
I dont think I want to lease an Evo, seems to me the Evo is a "tuner" car, one to play around with using aftermarket parts. I dont think putting stuff on the car, then talking it off when the lease is up would appeal to the average Evo byer, one that will use the car to its potential. Just a thought on why maybe Mitsu isnt doing a lease program. Sorry if that ruins your chances to get an Evo though....

Just a thought on why maybe Mitsu isnt doing a lease program. Sorry if that ruins your chances to get an Evo though.... See, I view this car as an out of the box RACECAR. (rallycar) It doesn't need to be tuned much anymore since our boys at :mitsu: did the hard stuff for us!! But keep in mind that adding all that performance stuff will void your warranty!! I would stick to mild mods, unless you want to hang yourself out to dry with blown clutches, transmissions, and more. An EVO will be expensive as hell to fix if you screw it up.. IMHO Almost three hundred with intake and exhaust is PLENTy of snot for me, thank you... :headbang: |
I dont see why they wouldent lease Evo's, they lease Ferrari's, Porsche's, Lambo's, and cars that are worth well over $100,000 and the maintenence is 10 times more expensive/complicated than the Evo.
Its retarded if you ask me. |
There are very few Evo's coming, enough for like 1.8 per dealership in America. Now why in the hell would they lease them? They know that every single Evo they even thought of making will be sold without even having to be test driven. I think because tehy don't have to lease is why they didn't.

While this would fall under the heading of rumor since there is not yet a National Program Summary sheet for the Evolution, I very strongly suspect this will be the case when we do get program sheets the Monday after next. Maybe a sponsered lease program is among the surprises in store for all with cars on the way??!! The rumor was "started" by a local :mitsu: dealer. He must be misinformed.. :dunno: |
Ok, so you throw it back in my face about buying and leasing, that you arent going ot mod, that it will void the warrenty, etc....
SO why then are you *****ing about there not being a leasing program......... I swear some people just complain for the hell of it..... "But keep in mind that adding all that performance stuff will void your warranty!!" For me, after reading that is where I took offense....... Thank you for enlightening me..... |
its like every hot new car that comes out...they wont lease until you see Evos at all the dealers and sales begin to decline. They wont be leasin them for a while. :mitsu:

Ok, so you throw it back in my face about buying and leasing, that you arent going ot mod, that it will void the warrenty, etc.... You said that the car is not a lease type of car, which I agree with somewhat , but don't entirely agree with. I guess we will wait and see about a late announced lease program...Maybe people like me that don't plan on slapping wastegates, boost controllers, and the most important item for HP...racing stickers...on their EVO will get a sensible option for owning it.. The warranty thing is true BTW. The :mitsu: dealers and service departments will be ALL OVER those cars with aftermarket mods.. Mess around with the cars and :mitsu: will black flag you from service and warranty claims. Fact. Not throwing anything in your face..I don't see where you got that from my post. :dunno: |
haha they want your $$$ up front before you start modding the crap out of the car...

I hate leasing anyway. I have done it and don't plan to ever do it again. If you can afford to buy, that is the best thing to do. I don't care if you only plan to keep the car a few years..it's better to buy. My last 3 cars I purchased new and resold them within about 2 years and never lost money. However, we also leased and if you try to get out of a lease early you will lose your ass! Unless of course you do another lease. I am stuck with my Durango for another 6 months because of the lease. I'm glad I OWN all my other cars! :D

This will probably just be with the initial release. After that you may find more incentives (i.e. leasing, but probably no 0 0 0 stuff).

If you are using your Durango lease as the basis for assuming leasing is bad, it may be an isolated example. 60-70% of auto sales are leasing..(lots of financing lately though with the o% stuff) but overall.. |
I'd only even consider leasing a 'disposeable car,' which the evo is not. To me, this is one of those cars that you drive for the love of driving, not a status symbol like a Lambo... so why would you want to give it back?
