04 EVO RS and it's Aluminum r00f......
 

Ok.... tell me if I am wrong, but I know that I remember reading before a bought my car that when the RS comes out in 04 the roof will be aluminum to lower the center of gravity of the car. Back then the only things the RS had over the standard EVo was the LSD, aluminum roof, 100plus lbs. lighter.

anyway..... On the 4th of July a stray bullet went through my roof and landed on the floor. So I sealed the hole in the roof so no water will get in. But I missed a little of the exposed metal. To my dismay, the exposed metal is starting to rust.

That tells me there is no aluminum roof:eek: :mad: .

What to do and who do I tell?

There are no '04 EVOs that have an aluminum roof.

Hate to break it to you man but the 04 RS does not come with the aluminum roof like the 05 does...compare the features and options of the 03-04 and the 05

wrong, try again...the 05 RS and the MR have the aliminum roof panel (us regular 8's got shafted on that one)...look in the 05 link

I hear you, But I swear that I read that somewhere before I bought my car.
Since I had the car, I really thought that I had an aluminum roof, and I use to tell people
that.

aluminum roof is a feasture for the 05 rs and mr, the only thing aluminum on your car is the hood and front fenders like everybody else's evos. hope that clears things out for u :updown:

for what its worth, the aluminum roofs have grooves on the sides of them. if they are flat all around then its not.

you cant argue when there is rust up there..

so... u were getting shot at? noice..

bullets flyin through the roof....****, time to convert the headliner to kevlar.

i recomend getting the roof fixed and then moving the hell out of that neighborhood

glad I moved out of Cleveland...stray bullets and whatnot
