take out the mbc for now since they will see that also and they will fail you right away.

Dan_EVO Aug 30, 2005 09:54 AM

Do they even check under the hood?

evo_dadi Aug 30, 2005 09:56 AM

hell yeah!! thats the first thing they check besides the cat converter.

How will an intake and mbc fail your emmissions? I was under the impression that if you have no check engine light, you pass emmissions as long as you have a cat on the car.

hhahaha damn...so much to take out lol...so basically if i take everything out i should be good though right?

CARB-california air regulatory board,if it aint approved by them its not street legal and anything not factory that affects the smog emmision of a car is considered illegal here in cali {thumbdwn}

with just a catback and the stock cat you should pass since its legal to do the catback since it after the cat and it doenst alter any emmsion controls.a guy here in norcal tested his car and passed considering he had cams also {thumbup}

Your reflash should be fine too. They only look for emissions related trouble codes when they scan the ecu. {thumbup}
