Evo's in Maryland

Hey all,

Here's your chance! I work for Carmax Mitsubishi in Laurel, MD, and we have 2 Evo's now, and expect to have another 3 or so soon. The two we have are (I believe) black/black and one that is red/black interior. They should be made saleable by this wknd.

Carmax traditionally sells all new vehicles below MSRP (we eat the destination charge). These are a first come first serve basis. No haggle, no hassle, on site financing (or find your own within 3 business days).

Contact is Chookeat A. Jarvis @ 301.604.8560 ext 2088.

Yep, I'm supposedly 3rd on their list and they told me it'd be ~$100 below MSRP. I've been checking their online inventory and the Carmax Atlanta store had a silver one yesterday (someone snatched that up quickly enough!) and it was $94 below MSRP.

Please God, let them get a White w/ big wing and spoiler!!!

hmmm.... isnt freight for Mitsu's $600? your saying an EVO for $29 even with the spoiler? I live in Gaithersburg....

Actually, I just sold the Red/Black Evo to Turbo XS (located in Gaithersburg) tonight. It had the CF wing and was $32k out the door (tax/title/tags). Yes, it was below MSRP and all that fun stuff. We should have the black/black one saleable by this wknd.

They mentioned that they'd try to get me a dyno run as soon as they got one tomorrow, and gave me permission to post it.

You can reach me at the number I posted above, or by emailing cjarvis@umd.edu. I'll be working there pretty much non stop for the next week (way to spend a vacation, eh?).

It was nice doing business with you! I'll have those dyno numbers for you ASAP. That was by far the most painless car buying experience I’ve ever witnessed.

The EVO is just awesome! It's going on the dyno later this afternoon. It's a little heavier than the wrx, but just doesn't feel it.

Now i have to figure out if i want to keep my WRX or if i want to trade up to the EVO or STI. I think I’ll let Mark keep buying the cars for a bit longer and just take them off his hands when he gets tired of them ;)

Awesome, a dealer stepping up to the plate and selling cars for reasonable prices... there's still hope for us in SoCal.

Maybe Nathan will have a UTEC piggyback ECU for the EVO soon!! w000t!!

I bought my Evo last night for 31,700 out the door. No sunroof, high wing. Ourisman Mitsubishi in Marlow heights had a yellow, red and silver one still there.

Stinkapuss,

Is that at MSRP? I'm looking for a silver one.

I'll try to scan the dyno plots later, but we managed a bunch of runs between 225 and 232hp all with around 250ft/lbs peak torque.

It's quick, not fast yet, but quick. Fast will come later.
