Grounding Kit Question

I installed a set of grouning wires and now the car seems to idle rough and if I roll up the windows the lights dim. If I hold all four buttons for the windows the car wants to stall. I assume this is not suppose to happen for this is not the purpose of grounding kits correct? I checked the connections and everything is secure.

Any idea what could be causing this?

What grounding kit did you use?

I have the HKS kit and it helped smooth out acceleration a little, but it still dims the lights when you use all 4 windows at the same time. The grounding kit is supposed to help flow the current through your car better. The HKS one does...but it definetly doesn't stop it from dimming.

In regards to the rough idle, that I don't know. Mine idles rough on occasion, but it has always done that.

bad wires
possible wrong installation

:helpme:
make sure your cables on the battery are tight first. then look at any other area second. make sure the wires are not connected to the + side of the battery. check your fuses also. you may have popped one and dont know it. {pcfreak}

Thanks for the info...the grounding kit is a Wombat Grounding Kit. I have it connected to the negative battery terminal. I will take them off an check each cable. It just seems that sense I installed the kit that the car is not as smooth in idle. I will do some testing this weekend.

Please don't forget to post the before after dyno sheets. Oh and I think you need a tune after a grouding kit.

When you do this, you are causing the alternator to "full field" because of the draw of amperage from the four motors on each door for the windows.

he should hold off on that dyno until he puts on some stickers to rep his grounding kit. in fact that's probably his problem - he forgot the stickers.
