Is a S-AFC as good as a flash, since i can't get a flash in the middle east.
 

Well, i live in the Bahrain which is located in the Middle East and i could'nt find a place where i can't get a flash, so i was thinking about getting a s-afc, and was woundering if it would work as good as a flash with my MOD's(in my sig.)

I would recommend the flash or even a stand alone with your mods. I would pm the person you want and try to make arrangements to send them your ECU. They all keep databases of differing mods so they could probably get you dialed in pretty close, then I would recommend the SAFC to fine tune it.

you can always send your ecu out through the mail to get flashed, thats a better idea then going with a afc or safc. the turn around time isnt that bad

here's a suggestion....

If you don't want your car to sit, buy a used ECU (if possible) and send out that one to a reputable tuner and have them flash it to your car specs. When you get it back swap it for your stock one, and you should be good to go. {thumbup} Other than that, you would have to let your car sit and send out your ECU and wait for it to come back and deal with customs and shipping and endless time of bs to get it done. my 2cents

yeah those are good idea's but the weather hear is really different then the U.S and europe.

I made about 60 whp more than stock using SAFC with my mods. you can do much better if you get flashed. But,you can do ok tune yourself with just SAFC. take a look at AMS's srt-4 500whp car. It was just tunned using SAFC only.

did u guys notice that he has a 7...would a 8 flash on a 7 ecu the same?

i took a look at ams's srt, it amazes me.

it should probably be the same.

the evo7 is the evo that is commen in here ..
not many 8s ...
the people in here usually upgrade their ecu "aem ems" and not to get a flash
but like me .. i can't afford that

well, it's nit really getting fixed but it was in the garage for cam installation, and i was thinking about a flash after the car was done to get more hp gains.
