NEED HELP! clutch pedal adjusted...now car won't start
I just adjusted my clutch pedal (loosen the 12mm nut, remove pin and spin rod) I'm not sure if i'm supposed to remove the pin that holds the rod to the pedal? However, i go to start the car and its not even cranking, as if the clutch pedal is not pushed down.
I adjusted the pedal up and down to the max and still nothing. I tried jumping the battery, thinking that the dome light drained my battery and still nothing. What could it be? Did i blow a fuse, which should i check? Note: I did have to drive in a light drizzle yesterday without a front bumper ( to get the car up on an alignment rack) but only for about half a mile. Please help. |
Did you bend the clutch pedal? maybe it is off enough NOT to hit the "plunger" to make the contact and start. go look under and make sure it is hitting the "button" it is supposed to!!! I bet thats the issue. or you moved the "button" and its not hitting the clutch "arm"
Confused? Just lay under the dash, push the clutch, and watch what its NOT hitting. |
got it to start...i was missing the "button". thanks
