Two rather ordinary questions that I've wondered about...

1) If you could not modify the Evo in any way and had to keep it 100% stock, would you still own one?

2) If Evos were as common as Honda Civics or Toyota Corollas, would you still own one?

It's raining, I'm bored - thought I'd ask...

1. No
2. Yes

if evos were as common as civics, they would still be fun to drive.

I would still own one. It's a great car out of the box. I had several track days with the car in stock and it was great, but as you begin to get better you notice understeer in the evo. To me if your modding without any real purpose and not using the car then your just one of many posers out there.

Yes to both of those questions.

1. Hell yea...maybe an M3

2. Nope

I like being different, standing out. If everybody drove around in Ferraris, theyd still be fast, but some of that mystique, and aura it has would be sacraficed. When something gets common, it gets boring.

No and No.

Even though it would still be fun to drive I have never enjoyed owning a car you see everywhere. I enjoy modding it almost as much as I do driving it. Even though it seems to want to fight me every inch of the way.

+1

I love the EVO... but if everyone out there had the same stock EVO as i did then it would make things kinda boaring.

I don't understand the thinking that something has to be exclusive to be worth having. Is this like women not wanting to wear the same dress as another woman to a party? Do those of you that want your car to be unique have some kind of problem with your identity? I don't get it.

My ten year old son thinks that things are cool if they're "rare". I guess I've grown up a little.

I like having a fast, raw, great handling car. I don't care how many others get to enjoy the same feeling.

I'm pretty much with you on this. Mine is completely stock and I love it. And I thoroughly enjoy being one of only a few in my city that owns one.
