Greg K May 10, 2006 04:37 PM

transfer cases love that. good thing it looked like an 03 or 04 with an open front diff. that could have been really ugly.

PhoenixEvo May 10, 2006 04:57 PM

Yah i have seen that many times, i think its a repost but i dont want to search just to dbl check... :)

Andrew LB May 10, 2006 04:59 PM

gatorade May 10, 2006 04:59 PM

I knew something was going wrong when it started to come off the dyno...

sucks..

celerilux May 10, 2006 05:01 PM

So what damage is done when that is happening?

superflyevo May 10, 2006 05:03 PM

nazzz....

Greg K May 10, 2006 05:07 PM

you shock load the front and center diffs, from the 1 wheel going from about 70 - 0 instantaneously.

Ah I see...what about the driveshaft?

ray3328 May 10, 2006 07:39 PM

Yeah man it's a repost. One of the straps broke.

Andrew LB May 10, 2006 07:48 PM

I've seen so many super high powered cars on dynos over the years that it boggles my mind how straps can actually break. IIRC, dynos require occasional servicing and when that occurs they tend to replace various parts like straps at various intervals.

NaorisG May 10, 2006 08:09 PM

Not a repost for me!

Evo9"Miss Rose" May 10, 2006 08:20 PM

yea that strap looked like it didnt have enough Tension on it they should of buckled it couple more notches till you can stand on the strap and it wont bend..thas my .02 but then again it could have been the EVO (too fast) hahahah....poor EVO!

Aikido May 10, 2006 08:38 PM

i'm assuming that the shop where the dyno was at would cover the cost of any damage in that situation.
