little kids with civics trying to make fun of Evo's

Basically there is a post on 7thgencivic.com about a kid that wanted to get rid of his civic to buy an evo. Now he is stuck between buying a 350z or an Evo. Now about 3 pages into this thread a bunch of kids pretending like they are Evo guru's, and they are all claiming that evo's can't even touch the quality of a 350z. For example here is one of the lame-a$$ posts on the thread:

now lets take the EVO that also has 280ish stock and drop that same 13grand into it. Well since its a more popular and I must say proven engine parts are alot cheaper and more avalible. You can completly build it run turbo, exhaust and fuel updrages as well. And easily get more than 420hp in an AWD car.

Quote from a disagreeing member:
First off, the whp is only in the low 200s for the Evo. Second if youre worried about the cost of add ons, it depends on how fast you want to go. If your talking 12s or 11s then yes the evo is cheaper, but if you want to go 10s or faster then the Z is cheaper. Not to mention the initial price of a new version of the evo is a good 4-6gs more than the Z. So take that 4gs and go buy a TT setup. Thus same money spent on both = advantage Z. On top of that the Mitsu's are known for their problems around 40k mi. Zs are more solid.

The greddy TT kit is good to 450whp when tuned properly. The Z engine can produce up to 1200-1400hp, you could probably buy both a Z and an evo for the cost to get there though. As I said the potential for the Z is greater than the Evo.

Remember kids, "there's no replacement for displacement".

wow, hahaha!!!! thats a lie! Show me some proof! I have had a friend flip his 2004 Red Evo 8 6 times and still walk out with only a few cuts. I have also had another friend crash his evo twice w/ 16,000 dollars in damage and he wasn't hurt, both times.

Marketed torward the fast and furious crowd??? Since when do 16 year old kids have 35g's to spend on a car. Also you need to get your facts straight, the average driver of an evo is anywhere from 25-35 years old. Also a majority of evo's sold are bought for its notorious track reputation. Not because it looks like a rice rocket. Actually, go buy a 350z and put a twin turbo on it, and we'll race. This'll be fun.

ohh yeah, useless spoiler? Don't like it, take it off. People do that all the time. Just less downforce for you.

I sold nissan for 3 years , and i could have bought a 2005 350 z 35th anniversary
for 28,000 otd. i paid 32,000 otd for my 2005 evo 8 gsr. The point is no matter how you slice the cake , the evo is a better machine in every aspect hands down.
Power , Awd, Brembo brakes, 4 doors so your buddies can hang out the window and point and laugh at the 350 z your flying by. Even if you put a TT 350z fully bulit , against a midly modded evo , the evo will win cause it can actaully put that power to the ground , the 350 z is gonna be spinning a while before you get going

Word! More of these civic kids getting Evo's only means more accidents to cause our insurance rates to go up even higher.

I know, I already pay 2200 a year on insurance for my evo.

sonicnofadz May 11, 2006 02:32 PM

When you think about it, what is special about a 350z? The answer: nothing. Rwd, V6 non-turbo engine...kind of boring. I would rather by a new mustang to be honest .

kreionic May 11, 2006 02:35 PM

poor little kids cant afford an evo so whats left to then bash them

7m6m4 May 11, 2006 02:42 PM

You know, I never thought about it but, in one of those posts one member stated that evo's look like rice rockets... Well if you dont like rice rockets, then why the hell do you drive a riced out civic.

occultworks May 11, 2006 02:42 PM

Let them bash the Evo, too many people own them already. I don't care how much they hate on my car, I'm still gonna smoke the dog piss outa them.
