SSL's who replaced just the stereo with an Alpine
I have GSR w/ SSL and I replace my stock head unit with an Alpine CDA-9856 receiver for ipod mp3 goodness.
Settings: Bass Center Frequency? 80hz -> 100hz -> 120hz -> 60hz -> 80hz Bass Bandwidth? 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> Treble Center Frequency? 10.0kHz -> 12.5kHz -> 15.0kHz -> 7.5kHz -> 10.0kHz Trying to get the best sound with the stock speakers and s/w! Thanks helm |
Alpines are overated.
Now made in China with inferior components |
i've always had alpine's and i've always had good luck.....of course owning an RS i have no radio.......so. but i do have alpines in my other vehicles and my sisters.

A work mate asked me to help him get his old Alpine head unit & CD changer out of his car. He was going to put them on Ebay. He let me have them for about $50. Result!

Now made in China with inferior components I am waiting for the Pioneer 9800BT to come out, all the usual goodies plus bluetooth tech. As far as you question about the settings, I don't see high the highpass or low pass settings would work since the deck has to operate through one of those adapaters. Until you are utilizing the RCA jacks, I would think those settings would be global. |
