Creader?? won't do anything?
 

Ok..I've got the dreaded P0300 so I bought a Brand new Creader from Ebay.

Go and plug it in and it does nothing.
Does the start up:
1: Reads "LAUNCH"
2: Then does the - - - - -
3: then just has an "E".

WTF?

Did I read correctly that a while back these weren't working and Vishnu owes a few people refunds or new ones?
BTW: I work @ LEXUS & have used our Scan tool @ work to clear my codes many times so I know how this shou.d work.

ANy advise? (besides return it {thumbdwn} )

Try using it with the car on....it won't show the "e".

I never had to turn my car on for my creader to work, but there are a couple of guys in vegas that bought creaders from Harbor Freight and they did the same thing yours is doing.

well so far I've tried everything. car on,.car running...etc.

so maybe its defective?

Mine does the same thing. Im pretty sure there was a bad batch of creaders out there.

yup, dosen't work, go return it, nothing you do will help.

Ok..so I call LAUNCH today and get on the phone w/ a japanese sounding man..he says" E is a connection Error"..that its not reading or connected right."try it again".

I told him I've tried it a few times and stIll the same Result -
I tried it on a lexus today and it worked fine.

WHo has a Creader that Actually works???
a tech today told me that maybe the EVO has a "Smart Bus" ECU...like the new 05+ LS430's do.They can't be cleared unless you have a SUPER Scan tool.

I have a Creader on my 05 and it works fine.

Lots of people have working Creaders. There was a batch of them that are simply broken and was a lot of discussion about it over in the vishnu forum. Where did you get yours?

there are 2 version. you probably got the wrong one.

damnit....I wanted a working one.
I read about this ISSUE before i bought it & hoped I would get a newer one.It was a guy/shop on ebay for $30...brand new.
I'm asking about a return and supposedly there is a return policy that he will accept. but I'd love to buy another one.

Vihsnu I guess is the only ones that have em.

Who wants to sell me thier Working CREADER??? Anyone?

Just send that one back and get a working one from vishnu for $50
