how hard is it to put MR headlights in a regular IX and make the HID's work? do i have to get a harness or something?? what would i have to do if i was just taking them out of the mr and putting them in the regular one.

www.hidexpert.com , get the 4300k (oem) denso kit.......Easier and cheaper to do than messing with wiring in a full factory system and it will work good.
|
thanks for the help, i will go that option instead
|
the stock mr hid looks sweet though. i love the purple reflection off other vehicles and objects

I'm working on the wiring as we speak. evo 9 GSR to Evo 9 MR oem hid's. Not under standing why I would need to upgrade to a 20A fuse when the ballasts are only pulling around 4.5 Amps and also connecting the ballast to the OEM GSR 4 pin connector. I've got all the wiring down on the 4 pin connector but need to know which wires to hook up to the ballast power and ground.

Travman rocks. |
I just installed this kit. Check out how it looks. They gave me the d2r instead of the d2s so I think I need to tell them to send me the other ones. But here's how it looks like with the d2r. I'm just wondering how the d2s bulbs will look like. I emailed hidexpert and asked them if they gave me the wrong ones.

I mounted the ballast pretty cool too. They will tuck on top of the headlights and sit pretty snug so no zips are required. I can take picks tomorrow if you guys like and how how I mounted. The denso kits have a short wire from the ballast to the bulb so it's a pain in the ass to mount.

They are white. My camera is just too advanced for me when taking night shots, sorry. I put it on the night setting and that's why the light looks yellow. Because the flash goes for then 3-5 secs later the shutter closes. If you teach me how to take night pictures i'll take better pictures for you. Oh yeah it was too cold last night for me to be taking pictures at night also that's why I didn't keep shooting and messing with the settings. By the way they are way brighter than the normal halogen lights.

I'm waiting to get some more good pics tonight...hopefully it doesnt rain out |
D2r bulbs have a glair pattern on the bulb where it shouldnt be for projector housings. So by installing d2r's in a projector housing, you wont be getting maximum light output. D2r's for the fogs though.
