I bet that things a beast off road....get some vids of that thing running asap

Fourdoor Dec 17, 2006 07:36 PM

If they take it in the sand that turbo needs an air filter ASAP or it will be destroyed pretty fast, and the angle on those half shafts looks pretty extreme.... but I am not sure what is normal on a dune buggy. Other than that it looks cool as hell :)

+1

It may also be wise to weld a plate under the oil pan with only a hole for the oil drain. From the pictures, it looks like the oil pan is a foot at most from the ground and it will be even closer in the sand with the weight of passengers. There's nothing worse than being stuck in the desert several miles from camp.

From what RRE told me, its an old school frame on this customer's car...

Tristar Dec 17, 2006 08:29 PM

Yea, that frame does look a bit 'old school' from a dune racer standpoint. The suspension looks very current however. I always love watching the videos of Robby Gordon racing his buggies in California, that guy goes big. (Check out his site for pictures of his Dakar Hummer, that stuff is crazy)

OneillEvo Dec 17, 2006 11:32 PM
