My lucky days just don't seem to end...
 

Came outside just now and when closed the door in my Evo, eard pieces of my rear winshield fall. Looked and it was all shattered. When I was coming out to warm up my car, nothing was wrong. Check everything inside and stones or bb gun bullets. Seemed to explode due to cold weather.....

I'm just wondering if my insurance will pay for it. I have nationwide full coverage, but don't know if they have deductable on glass. I know some insurance companies don't (they allow you 3 claims a year). Gonna call mine tomorrow.

Yep, I've got no imotions right now, just sick of it all.

some places cover glass without a deductiblelike I think AAA did, but I have state farm now and have a 500$ glass deductible.

Just how much rear glass cost?

Just broke from cold weather? That seems really odd. Ohio doesn't get that cold...

oh man and I thought I had BAD luck..

Then what could? No footsteps on my driveway, no stones, etc. I had my trunk covered in snow, spoiler too. Nothing there.... I just can't think of anything else then.

But if it's due to cold weather, then what would happen if it was around 15 F? Evo would fall apart? :confused:

if you have like snow on the glass and heat blowing on it it can crack. Happened to my bosses truck. Snow covered the windshield and he didnt brush it off. warmed up the truck for a long time. mabey 20 mins... came out and window was cracked. not shattered though......

Oh man that sucks! Call around and see what it will cost to replace it. Sorry for all the misfortune.

yeah if you had snow on there, and you had the rear defroster running it will crack, and it prob shattered from the shock when you closed the door. I had my front windshield crack from the defogger and snow. cost me $500 installed and OEM too, not too sure about the rear
