Even Dr's are now addicted to meth
With all the posts about meth here, I thought this might be of interest to a few people. A new company run by a bunch of MIT phd's is developing turbo/direct injection/meth technology as an alternative to hybrid tech.

First read about direct injection and how it differs from our evom meth injection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasoline_direct_injection Then realize no one on here is even close to the benifits of direct injection. For the lazy: port injection fuel pressure 43psi direct injection fuel pressure 1500psi lean a/f capable for port injection 16.5/1 A/F lean capable for direct injection 60/1 A/F on boost A/F port injection 10/1 or richer on boost A/f for direct injection 12.5/1-13.5/1 detonation resistance for port injection very poor detonation resistance for direct injection very amazing. compression of current turbo cars OEM on port injection 8/1 to 9/1 compression of direct injection turbo OEM cars 9.7/1 to 10.5/1 (bmw-mini, vw,pontiac, mazda) |

Your post compares gasoline direct injection and meth injection. The new company is using CONVENTIONAL fuel injection, and direct meth injection. Thanks also for the irrelevant figures on GASOLINE direct injection systems. When you have stats for the METHANOL direct injection systems, please come educate the poor, unwashed, ill read masses on evom. Looks like you skipped the reading comprehension classes when you got your Ph.D. |

Seven people poked fun at the article like we all have been using direct ethanol injection on evom for years. In reality no one has come close on evom to direct injection of any sort gasoline or methanol. . I linked the direct injection info so all those who posted would gain some knowledge on what direct injection is. I also posted some info on how advanced direct injection is when using gasoline. Then you only have to realize yourself that direct injection using methonal or ethanol would be even better as the guys in the article are finding out. Nothing I posted was irrelevant. Your understanding is the only thing irrelavant. |
