HELP! Just installed intercooler and LICP and throttle won't drop
I just installed a Turbo XS FMIC and Nisei LICP and then i took the car for a test drive. I stepped on the gas and let go but the car just kept going... i shifted back to neutral and throttle just keep at about 5000 rpm and wouldn't drop back to normal (around 900 rpm). i carefully drove back to my garage and check all the hoses and they were not loose... then i went again and same thing... when i started the car the throttle was already a little higher than before (about 1700rpm).. i just couldn't step on the gas or else it'll stay there... any idea guys???

Maybe an endcap from the intercooler is lodged in your throttle body? Happened to me, and it sorta sounds like the symptoms you're experiencing.

maybe something is caught in the throttle body sounds weird i know but it happened to me i didnt put a piece of rubber back right and got stuck in the tb scared the **** out of me

It is defitally something with the throttle body. Pop the UICP off and take a look in there. If its all ok then take a look at the throttle cable. If thats all ok bend over and kiss your wallet goodbye and take it to a shop.
P.S How the heck would an intercooler endcap make it all the way to the throttle body by accident thats nuts. |

i just took off the UICP and bingo! theres a little piece of foam right there in the throttle body. its definitely from the packaging because when i first opened the package, the foam paddings were all shattered... but the intercooler was ok. now the car runs fine.... really scares the crap outta me.. gonna have my car tuned at AMS monday and really dont want my car to be messed up.

Sweet! Glad it wasn't something more serious.

4G63's love to eat foam! =)
|
^ :D. And they say the foam is better for packaging.

...always make sure there's no foam inside the parts of whatever you're installing before putting the part on. Foam probably made it in your engine... >_<
