Fuel rails and fuel pumps

I am going to be tuning my car soon, and i have an intercooler, intake, and radiator...do i need to upgrade my fuel pump or fuel rail, or does it matter? do i need to upgrade both? right now i have limited money for this upgrade so its basically one or the other unless i really need both...I also have a motive to go for the fuel rail, i get a set of free installed motor mounts with the discounted purchase of a brand new $98 fuel rail, so if i do the fuel rail, do i need a fuel pump or will i be set?

The only mods you have right now are the intake intercooler and rad?

Upgrade the exhaust ie. cat back, full turbo back etc. You do not stand to gain any type of performance from the fuel rail at this point. There are several threads on here about what types of mods you should be doing at your level. Dont take this as me putting you down or anything I am just trying to save you some cash.

No, you don't need fuel rail or fuel pump. With your current stock injectors and your mods you shouldn't even be hitting peak flow.

what about the fuel pump? with the gains after my custom tune, wont i need a high output fuel pump to prevent knocking?

Look at it this way I have all the mods in my sig and I have yet to have to upgrade the fuel system, other than the pump. And really that was more of an insurance thing than anything else

apex rider...how is the act clutch?

Apex Racer Jun 8, 2007 09:57 AM

Not a problem. There is alot of useful info on this forum, never be afraid to ask the questions you need to get the job done right ( make sure and search first ). Good luck, and have fun.

Shoot, I cant even remember how much the clutch was. It has been quite awhile since I installed it. Just look on vendor sites and price them. They are real reasonable, and mine has done well.
