15,000 mile service?
Well, I'm getting to the point where i'm going to need my warranty work, but i've got a few things done to the car that Mitsubishi wouldn't be too happy about. Should I still take the car in to them to get the work done, or can I buy the parts I ned and take it somewhere else without worrying about Mitsu giving me a hard time about it?

Do you have warranty work (broken something or other) or do you need to get the regular 15K service? I'm confused a little...
why not do it yourself?
It's pretty easy to do. Just purchase the fluids (engine oil, transmission and diff fluid) and attempt it yourself. Also, you will have the satisfaction of having it done by you and it will be a lot cheaper than taking it in for service. |
Where can you get the pump to change out the rear differential, front differential, transmission fluid, and transfer case fluid? I looked at auto zone and could not find it... What pump do you guys use?
15,000mi. is just transfer case fluid change, oil change, and maybe rotate tires. Nothing is major at 15,000mi.
AutoZone has the pump
I'm going to try and do it myself also.
haha alright that's not that bad then. i thought 15k was the new timing belt, etc. well thanks for the help i'll definitely do it myself then.

You don't need a pump to extract the fluids that is what the drain plug is for. It definitely helps and is actually a necessity to have a pump to push the new fluids in though.
