Front Brembo's on Rear
 

Is there a converion plate to replace the stock two piston calipers with a set of 4 piston fronts. I know some of you will say its totally unnecesary, a good porportioning valve can get it dialed in, I am more thinking would look a little nicer and fill the rear wheel better. I am unsure if anyone has done this, but can we find rear rotors that would work out too?

Just curious if anyone has ventured this path before.

I think your biggest problem is finding rotors to fit the emergency brake and the caliper. Plus if you to that's adding a ton of extra rotating mass.

I would agree that a proportioning valve would let you dial in the balance under normal conditions, but would it, or the changed balance screw with our super-duper-whizz-bang-128-bit-electronic-telepathic-brake-distribution under threshold braking?

So basically I've added no value to this thread other than to say it's unnecessary, and you already saw that coming.

or just buy a used pair of rear rotors+calipers of a big brake kit.

well the bbk is what I was thinking too. dont they use 4 pistons too in the rear? then I was like why not another set of fronts? good Idea.

When I changed to different front calipers on mine I had a quick squiz at putting on the front calipers on the back.

Two problems:
1/ Pad height too deep for factory discs, you will have to go and find a bigger and wider rear disc, possibly look at going two piece for the rear and have custom bells made up and use a front disc as this will give you the correct swept area and thickness.

2/ Piston area is far too large for the rear, if you were to just slap them on you would just be locking up the rears all the time so some time will need to be spent with a proportioning valve.

4pot front and rear? wow why though??? =X

A lot of work & $$$ just for beauty!
Will need front disc mounted with calipers and I am not sure you will get the disc on temp to get good braking... Don't you think the Pads are enough expensive???

get some ap racing gravel calipers if you want big rears, but be prepared $$$
