Recaro's ?

Can the recaros seats be swith, driver side to pass & pass to drivers side?

I believe so, however, you have to switch over a few things such as the seatbelt adapter and such.

I've heard on this thread of one person performing this but it's a PITA!! It would be a great little trick so the drivers seat doesn't get faded and worn down compared to passenger

LMAO, yesterday when I was cleaning my car (finally after about 2 months of not doing so), I thought to myself "I wonder if I can switch my seat around cause my driver one is getting pretty worn out."

pbc_2007 Oct 4, 2007 03:20 PM

wont the knob for the leaning back adjustment be pointing towards the center console? how would you adjust it?

wht95scort Oct 4, 2007 06:24 PM

The hole seat frame would ned to be switched. Seat buckle hole is only on the inner sides of the frames so if you were to swap them the'd be useless. If your worried about ware run seat covers.

fenriq007 Oct 4, 2007 06:33 PM

it has been done but yeah the knob would be a pain to get to

beemerfreak Oct 4, 2007 06:41 PM

Knobs? What knobs?

Chemwarrior Oct 4, 2007 07:05 PM

The knob to adjust the angle of your seat.

DSMEVOLUTION Oct 4, 2007 09:02 PM

The knob can be taken off and moved to the other side of the seat.

El.BlueEvo9 Oct 5, 2007 06:07 AM

How about the back seats, can I swap those out with my front seats.

antwon6420 Oct 5, 2007 08:44 AM

It would be really easy if you got harnesses, but I think that switching the seat belt plugs(or whatever the **** they are called) would be a pain. The knobs are easy, as they just slide right off. Racing type seats are a lot easier to just switch around than normal seats are. I dont know if they use brackets to mount, but if they do, you would have to keep the brackets on the sides they are designed for, beause they are normally made specific for R or L.

Go buy a driver side seat. Alot easier. You can probably pick up a slightly used one from someone on these forums for cheap too.

chaz517 Oct 5, 2007 11:35 AM

can the seat or steering wheel be warrantied if there a lot of wear? my driver seat is pretty bad and my wheel in one spot is real bad and worn less badly in others
