Fastest STOCK Evo? I haven't been here in months

Have not been here in months but I think I remember someone running a 11.98 or so on a stock Evo that was striped of seats and such.

Anyone got link to his post?

I love the input from all the 2006 members.

Its been a LOng time ago, I might be off on the numbers but it was very fast

eponti Oct 28, 2007 11:33 PM

I have seen guys ran 11.9's but with basic bolt on's and race map

EvoHung Oct 28, 2007 11:41 PM

Yes I think I remember....If I remember right, I think it was some guy from Puerto Rico who ran 11s bone stock with the exception of NOS. There was alot of hype untill people found out that he wasn't really stock. I dunno if this was the same guy you're talking about though.

eponti Oct 28, 2007 11:43 PM

^i think you are right.

OK.....
the best stock evo time would be 12.6-12.8 with a stock IX.

The kid your talkin about (mike1023, i think) supposedly ran 11.9 with a striped evo with bolt ons. But his story always changed and if you look though his previous posts, you'll see he had some parts he didnt tell people about. So take his whole situation with a grain of salt.

Mike1023, did what he said. Very good friend of mine and his car was seriously fast for so few mods. Granted you are correct in saying it was completely stripped. You might think that he had parts on his car that he did not say because he was frequently buying and selling parts as he changed his setup in the pursuit of faster times, but when he posted his times he listed all his mods at the time.

Ya no way stock would do that.

For what its worth, 11.931 on at 93 oct map with 100oct and a few more psi. Full interior - no spare tire. Way before some more weight reduction mods (coil-overs, gutted trunk,...)

He DID run those times and I never thought he didnt. There's just fishy stuff around him, like contradicting post saying he did and didnt have a Utec, forgetting to include that his car was gutted when making threads sharing his great times. Though when brought up, he never denied it or nothing, it was just fishy he wouldn't include it from the start.

Regardless, this thread is about the fastest STOCK evo and mike1023's wasn't stock. A stock IX hold the fastest stock evo record at 12.6 or .7 @ 106-107.

I'll stop posting so we can stay on topic{thumbup}
