dyno's
okay, so i been wondering this....
how come every dyno reads different? calculating horsepower is just a mathmatical formula....so what would cause different brands of dynos, to read higher or lower? how would you know what dyno is exactly right? |
Some are loaded and some aren't, they are mechanically different.
|
i understand that...but of course there needs to be a load on them, cause theres a load on yuor car when the wheels are touching the road. why would some not load them enough, or load them to much?
i just hear way to many people saying "if i was on this dyno i would of made more power, blah,blah,blah...." |
im interested in learning about this as well
|
heres an article I came across on why dynojet numbers are the way they are.
http://www.factorypro.com/magazine/d...hp_reason.html I know dynos are just a tuning tool, but I agree with you.. 1 HP is a set unit of measurement just like 1 foot. Every measuring stick measures 1 foot the same, dynos should measure 1 HP the same. But thats just not the way it is, so compare your numbers as you go along to the same dyno.. |
