For those using Gruppe-S 52mm Gauge panel, what gauges fit?
Going to be purchasing the Gruppe-S 52mm triple gauge panel and wondered if any of you know which gauges go in there without having to cut anything. Basically, a gauge that isnt too deep. I know the Defi's fit, but they are too expensive to me. I am looking either in the direct of autometer or vdo, but it is all going to depend if I need to cut anything behind the panel. Thanks guys.

Which panel are you refering to?

edit didn't see your link

if your referring to depth, it shouldnt matter. i dont have one, but the radio would normally be there so im sure there is plenty of room in there. and yeah any 52mm would work naturally
|
i use prosports with no probs.

I have stewart warner gauges and the passenger side gauge required trimming behind the gauge due to the angle of the gauges. I do not believe autometer or vdo will fit. |
your right...i had to trimming on mines too on the passengers side now that i remember.

that panel is for 60mm

I'm not sure why experiences differ, but I've had AutoMeter gauges fit perfect as well as Stewart Warner. No trimming whatsoever.

holy misinformation in this thread...if you aren't 100% sure about what you are saying don't post
I believe if you cut the mounting tabs on the back of the gauge you can get away without cutting...I just notched the aluminum behind there and bent it back slightly...it's location makes it max complicated |
middle gauge fits perfect no matter what kind lol
ANd yes you will have to watch out on the outer gauges due to the stock paneling interfering. |
Pro Sport fit fine, but to keep them from moving I added a touch of glue
