Post if you've ever been pulled over for OEM parts!
 

I am contesting a ticket and want to be able to print this out and show how often we are pulled over for OEM parts to the DA (Keep it clean). There is only 2 other evo's I know of within 2 hours of where I live. (So nobody knows what a Mitsubishi Evolution is) List any items you have been pulled over for, taillights, spoilers, exhaust etc...


My ticket has 2 violations:

1- Inadequate braking system (He wrote down excessive exhaust noise)

2- Excessive exhaust noise while accelerating

- The car has been sold since this ticket (Going on 8 months of contesting) -

What happened to me:
I have a stock exhaust and got pulled over for making a proper lane change using my blinkers. (He told me I should drive like that in the rain, because its slippery) I wasn't speeding or driving erratic. I pulled off the street into a shopping plaza once his blue lights came on and shut my car off before he even exited his. 20min later, he decided to give me these two tickets.

Please post up anything you have been pulled over for that was 100% untouched from the factory. Thanks

I got a ticket for the STOCK WING!!!{thumbdwn}

I got pulled over in my eclipse gsx, the cop told me my car's exhaust was too loud and he made me rev the car up while it was in a stopped position and then I told him that this is the stock exhaust so then he let me go...

... but I will be tomorrow now (I voted no) lol

I've heard about a few people ticketed for the stock wing unfortunately.

OP, you might want to change that signature before you present this as evidence in court ;)

Yes.

- Stock wing

- no front plate

- engine look modded on my stock evo 8

- exhaust, HKS catback

- exhaust, Greddy Ti-Catback

- Pulling out of my driveway without my sealbelt on

- Not doing a long enough complete stop "3 seconds"

- Car towed for no front plate, police authorize to suspend my license that day he pulled me over.

Lists go on, i have a red rs now too, we'll see how that goes. But for now i am going to wing and things, getting pretty hungry.

I got pulled over for my exhaust but he was also trippin' about my turbo, fmic, projector-type headlights and airbox... which were ALL STOCK.

got pulled over for driving 55 at 55 zone, cop was standing outside of his car on the side of highway ..not sure why but gave me the hand signal to pull over when i approached. He came up to me and said..sir, do you know how fast you were going? i replied yes. then he said to me you know it looked like u were going pretty fast.. i replied..i was only doing the speed limit and stuck between two cars..couldnt have speed at all...i guess the car only looks fast :P..... he just walked around my car and let me go... maybe he just wanted to check it out...

Thanks.. I will not be editing my original post. I am tuned, which is more fuel efficient and has nothing to do with the 2 reasons I got pulled over.. Im still baffled about my "inadequate braking system" violation.. Having one of the best brakes to be put on a factory car. :crap:

I can understand people being pulled over for too loud of an exhaust although that too is BS in comparison to some cars and bikes I hear on the road. But inadequate braking system? WTF is that? Makes absolutely no sense to me...

edit: maybe the op's brakes were down to the metal and he was shooting sparks lol. idk just making **** up

Dude, he was just trying to get you for anything he thought he could get away with. That's the kind of attention evos draw unfortunately.
