sweet. but thats still near the 30k. if i was gonna get a 27k car with the same exact one with more options only 3k away...id jsut get the regular one instead of the RS.

but the RS does make my dream a lil more of a reality. :D

I agree. They're going the wrong way. I hope they realize they are screwing up and need to offer more not less. I hope we the consumer don't get screwed by their mistakes and lose the Evo here in the US.

They need to offer cruise, some of those nice purple mica's and greys and other nice deep greens, like the is300s. Add a sequential manual transmission, 6 speed, aero improvments for higher topspeed.

These skimped version is a nice start for the hardcore race teams, but for sales, they need to offer the goods. LSD options for the front and rear, etc.

true on may levels. more or different colors would be a good draw to the car. i have the T-gray regular lancer and people always ask me if i got it painted. nope, mitsu actually had a good idea for a color.

But the RS version has existed in japan forever too..so HOPEFULLY other versions will come as well.

youre paying 27k for the name. kus thats a stock ass car!

I hope the folks out there at SEMA are pressing the issues with Mitsu so they can take back with them to the boardroom some information to do their homework on.

If they want sales, and tuners want more customers, Mitsu needs more *OPTIONS* that aren't often viable aftermarket, not less. FQ-300 or more power, is not worth it. It is less epxensive and usually higher quality to go aftermarket. Xcede, Dynoflash, exhuasts, MBCs, etc. It's the goods you usually get financed we want. 6spd, SMT, cruise control, all 4 windows auto up and down. Full Aero underbody Paneling.

I hope many people out there are making noise about SMTs and these easy factory additions. Tuners aren't going to lose out with these either. More power from the factory is just going to hurt tuners, and raise insurance rates.

That Elise looks better every day. I might just get one of those instead.

I see no need for cruise, I feel this car is a special edition sports car from the factory, I enjoy having control of my throttle at all times. I have no problem driving 1000 mile days, just get out and walk - you need to do that anyways on long drives.

More colors would be nice.

Sequential transmission...I do not know why. The M3 has it...but I see no real great things out of it besides the bling factor (I know about the counted, temporary race launches). Is the object to continue to raise the price to 40K?

Having had a 6 speed in the past, I still don't see a need for one here in the States. Econ? - drive slower with light throttle. If you need econ at 80-100MPH get a different car. Look at the STi and you kinda blow the 0-60 results. I can row a car, but I do not want to row that much with a useful 6sp. Does a car like the EVO REALLY need 6 gears?

I could see better aero improvements, but to me things already feel EXCELLENT compared to my previous BMWs and Audi. In fact I was at well over 100 today many times, felt great, done that in heavy cross winds too (out on the 8 east near the desert). Any real need to go beyond 160MPH more than once or twice? If someone is on your ass at that speed, more than likely you're gonna lose. Not many roads around my neck of the woods (So Cal) where I could rip along at 150MPH for more than a few minutes (yep, done them desert runs). I'd also like to keep my license and life, so why push it?

The Evo is just fine and dandy from the factory.
