I'm not happy
Well i've been on deployment since last august, and a week before i left i was rear ended and put the car in the shop. It was there for 2months, my buddy finally sent me a video of my car
heres a pic of wat it looked like http://i49.tinypic.com/1zpr7z8.jpg heres the video that was takin today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlYgXKmuR1o 2 make a long story short, the car was given to me without the bumper installed and no new trunk, i had to buy one from a forum member here a few months ago |
it looks sad. i would damage someone badly if that were my evo and it took them that long to not fix it
wow really have to trust who you take your car to now and days 2 months and basically did nothing but straighten the rear quater i would not pay them personally
Ya and it really sux when ur across the world and cant do anything about it... When i bring it to them again it will have been a year since they worked on it.. I hope it goes smooth
What I find best when I went on deployment was to leave it with someone who had the same car as mine. I had a buddy that took care of my Evo pretty darn well. Oil Changes and everything while I was on deployment. He just kept all the receipts and I payed him back. Then he went on deployment. Then I watched his Evo. LOL. Funny how things work.
Ya the guy watching my car(the one talking in the video) is my very good friend with a ridiculus drag setup evo. My car is in good hands with him :D Just not at the body shop haha
Damn that sucks man, its hard to find a person you can trust to watch over your evo.
g/l with getting it straight when you get back
I would be p!ssed after 2 months and my car still not fixed. I would ask for a price cut or take it to some other place. Just cause your deployed doesnt mean they can drag their feet fixing your car. If anything they should be working on it day and night to get it fixed for you because of that reason.
dude that is a bunch of BS
are you sure he didnt wreck his and swap all the parts with yours? haha jk but that does suck i would be pissed!
Well, it seems all the body shop would have to do is sand it back down, patch it, paint it... shouldnt be too much down time.. They better be willing, not trying to sue anyone even tho it mite get me more in the end haha. As for the trunk, since im doing a timeattack setup when i get home im putting my stock wing back on and im gonna get that rexpeed spoiler thingy that sits on the back edge of the trunk inbetween the stocker to hide that dent. Man i've watched that video prolly 50 times now, its nice to see her even if she's messed up. First time in over 7 months now!

dang that sucks
Are you ****ing kidding me? 2 months and that's what they have done? I got rear ended in my old sunfire and it cost over $4K to fix, but it was fixed within a week. I had to take it back twice since they uses **** parts but still... Wtf is taking them so long? The trunk is trash. If it's not aligned perfectly, get pissed. Insurance is paying to make it in the same condition as it was before. They aren't paying for some BS place to cut corners (happened to me, had to order a new $800 part but it wasn't my fault some cell phone talking dip**** rear ended me so I didn't care).
I'd just call up the insurance company and explain to them they are getting ****ed and take it to a new place. |
if all your boys have all these evos, no one has the hook up to a trust worthy body shop? I am sure you can find one just ask some other car enthusiasts around your area.
