Evo got knifed BUT it's being ressurrected!!

So after a year and a half my boy finally wants to get his issues fixed in his evo. This all started when a friend in town, (always claims he's a mechanic for the most part) replaced his o2 housing and **** went down hill from there. 2 other friends of his, (who thinks they know there **** again) did some other work to it and.....well ****ed **** up. Just follow below

This is the evo. 2005 with only 22k on the clock. After going to his house and seeing the car to fix minors, it turned to a bigger job than we both expected. First the majority of the clamps on the piping were in place but dangling. (Imaging if he would have boosted just a little) So i told him we needed to get it to my house so I could spend some time on it.

My first target was the oil return line. Well this idiot reused the the oil return line gaskets. (Not a good idea) So oil targeted anything in it's path while driving.

When I took the manifold off I found this disturbing mess. What in the world they were doing to do this. They were just suppose to install the Invidia manifold.

This coupler is from the turbo outlet. There was some mess on the outlet of the turbo also.

Now it's gutted for the most part but still more to come
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...wn/Gutted3.jpg

This is one of the most disturbing things after I got things back together with new parts. I went to put the injectors back in and change spark plugs. (NOTE: They put corroded seals back on the injectors also some didn't have seals)

Why the hell is there a washer in there
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n.../Sparkoil2.jpg

This is terrible. Look how much oil is on this plug. It was like this for 3 of the 4 spark plugs. The valve cover bolts, i removed them by hand except for 2 of them.

At this point I was like holy ****. So I called him up and told him. Well both of us want to build our cars. (2.3l w/ FP Blacks and other mods) He was going to start ordering parts this week for the turbo kit but I was like "Man, get the motor first because who knows what else has happened and as much oil that was in there.......yea motor first."

More updates to come

RULE # 1 never let your friend touch your car

Only me and AWD Motorsports touch my car. That is it

TKEVO May 10, 2010 07:31 AM

Yea at the time they had "good records" for working on people cars. No more now because they are messing people cars up left and right now. I tell everyone who wants car works done NOT to go to them

That's insane! Post up the names of the people that did this!

TKEVO May 10, 2010 11:08 AM

They aren't evo owners. They are locals in Cheyenne.

Joey
Dean
BJ

He has had of rep of working on cars but hes work is slowly going for the worst. Dean and BJ has done work on their own **** (STI and Evo) but WTF did they do. Doesn't matter, they will never touch mine, his or any other car of anyone I know around here.

Crate motor...hell naw. You see the price tag....lmao Hes getting a build done in Denver. No cheap parts but it will be ready for what he is building.

He trusted me with the build so that's why he let me do it. Ive worked on my car and love everything Ive learned so far and I'm still learning. He know I wont mess up anything or touch anything I wouldn't on my car or if I haven't messed with that part yet.
