Don't know
Hey guys, I've been having this problem with my car where sometimes I'll put the clutch in and try to turn and the car will shut off. Does anybody know what that is, and if you do how do you fix it?

be more specific
|
..
I'm sorry with the a/c on driving normally then suddenly depressing the clutch while turning.

Sounds like it is probably your IAC (Idle Air Control). You might have to buy a new one. I had the same problem in my Evo, except that it used to cut out anytime I wasn't giving it any gas.

I've had the same problem in the past. Would be stopped at a stopsign and gettin rdy to roll out and it cus off, not stalls, and I roll into the intersection. Or worse, was gettin off the highway and pushed the clutch in to brake + downshift so it cuts out and I'm using all my might to turn the wheel to not run off the road pop the clutch and it starts back up.

nuthinbutevo, please repost and report back what you did to fix the problem?
Was it the IAC or a loose wire? |
Was the battery disconnected recently? If so it will need to relearn idle bot with AC on and AC off.
After that idle issues happen with modded evo's, things like open element filters and hard intake pipes can take some tuning to get the car to behave in clutch in stopping situations. Nothing new here. I would not jump to replace an IAC before visiting some easy stuff first{thumbup} |

Yep, what he said. I would remove the IAC and clean it first, then check if the situation improves. |
