Need an oil gauge wanna compare what's better
Ok so I need an oil gauge and was gonna go with the aem oil pressure but wanna see what's better mechanical or electric oil Gauge so help out and throw stuff at me
I have the AEM, works fine. I'm pretty sure almost any oil gauge you pick will work fine for you.
I used a mechanical gauge, and it worked fine. I hated running oil into my cabin trough at copper line, and having to worry about it leaking ever (though it never did).
I'm going with an electric one next time. The only downfall with those is I have gone through the senders that come with the autometer oil psi gauges. |
Im thinking that If you dont mount it on the housing it self it saves the life longer and less chance of it going out
Prosport one works fine for me. It a mechanical and it hook up to the oil filter housing. No leaks what so ever on my end.
I just installed aem digital gauges in my car and am pretty happy with them. I like the fact that its a number not a needle that you are trying to read. I put in a oil temp and an oil pressure gauge and so far so good.
I've herd about that prosport it looks easy to work with and clean I have aem boost aem wideband that's why I'm thinking about going aem oil like you said they are numbers not needles so easier to read and looks good
I have an extra hole in my gauge panel that will get filled with an AEM analog electric, but that has a bit to do with matching the rest of my gauges. Another thing nice about it though is the 0-5v output so I can log oil pressure.
Yeah it pretty simple product to use. For me if you have aem might a well stick with aem so that you don't have any mis match gauges. haha.
They are just number for the digital one sometime the needles trips me out on the oil pressure but it in all actually it work perfectly good. |
Sounds good guys thank you I'm sticking with aem :)
