EL Cajon Mit, Sandiego.. And it seems to me they ONLY markup 3k is the best deal in SoCAL, you guys lucky and living outside of CA that can buy MSRP. :ang2hap: :ang2hap:

Driving The Evolution

I'd like to keep this thread open to just the new Evolution owners for all their comments about their new vehicles and driving experiences.

Test drivers are ok too!

silver ghost Mar 7, 2003 03:45 PM

where are all the indepth reviews???!!! You would think by now with everyone getting theirs that they'd be posting some up.
then again, if i had an evo, i guess i'd be busy driving it around  .

Jonasan50 Mar 7, 2003 03:48 PM

I am a little disappointed in that as well as you guys might be.. I expected good posts to come on here... I'm bummed...

HobieKopek Mar 7, 2003 03:56 PM

They're in individual threads.

M3rcer Mar 7, 2003 03:56 PM

Doodm they're driving them what do you expect. When 4/3 comes around i won't be posting for awhile too!

Jonasan50 Mar 7, 2003 03:59 PM

I know Hobie.. I was just trying to gather all thoughts and expressions in one single thread.. You know the rules... Anyways, it was worth a try...

If I gave a review right now it wuold be pretty week. The car aint even broke in yet. But from what I have experienced:

the breaks are stiff, and loud.
Sterring is tight and precise.
Turbo kicks in at about 3 to 3.5k
Lag is iminenet in higher gears, but still quick.
Gear box is tight. Shifting is stiff but very nice.
No damn lights on the window controls or locks on pass. side.
Dark as hell in the car at night, without tint. Can't see the damn window switches.
1st gear is too quick. By the time you mash the gas you better let off and shift.
More to come...................

I noticed that first gear tops out really quick... probably use 2nd gear during street driving.
