Just HATE the fact that I wasn't here first..
Now that I'm a little bit older with the money to buy whatever I want under 40K I set out and test drove a good 15 cars before finally deciding on my 06' MR with 69K. Including the current Evo X, both GSR and MR, and countless others, I just couldn't help fall in love with the 9's go-kart like handling. Now that I have her in my posession, despite how well maintained it's been kept, I can't get over the fact me not having the money back in 06' to have had purchase her new. I'm conteplating selling her off to buy something new but can't get myself to actually go throught with it. My freinds think I'm nuts, especially for the deal I struck with the previous owner. I should be so lucky as to have purchased such an awesome vehicle, a future classic IMO. Anyone else having buyers remorse with any of their Evo's?! :D

06 is too old but you like how it drives? should just keep it if you like it.

I think south coast mitsubitshi has a brand new 06MR there. You can buy that one :lol:

@a4rontran
Thats funny that you mention that. I couldn't beleive that still had one there sitting in their showroom. You better beleive I have wrote some letters! lol |
Well, if you decide to sell it, let me know.:)

Buying new cars is stupid. They drop 20%+ of their value or more the instant you drive them off the lot. Buying a well maintained used car you can make further changes to is my preferred choice. I also believe the 06 IX is the best Evo model ever made. I think you would be out of your ******* mind to get rid of it.

@blackenedwings
Exactley the kind of responce I was looking for honestley and yes I agree with you a 100% about it being the best. Thanks |
they are over attached when you're there first...
Oh wait cars.. yeah hate that :lol: |
I just called South Coast Mitsubishi and he said they have 4 '06 Evo's that are brand new but they're not selling any of them... Selfish bastards.

You wouldn't find it on their site because acording to the manager I spoke with, "the owner doesn't plan to sell". Iv'e tried writing letters, speaking with the general manager and having my broker call to try and set up a deal but they wont budge.

I kinda-sorta had buyer's remorse when I sold my S2k for my IX...then I sold that for my X and all is well :)
|
I know exactly how you feel. I just got my 06 MR less than a month ago with 40k miles on it. The thing is in pristine shape.
I have a bit of buyers remorse (I know this is blasphemy) and I can't help and wonder if I should have looked into the 2011 sti's. I think they're pretty gorgeous. I'm sure that in the end, though, if I would have bought an sti, I would have had different regrets. One thing that gives me solace in my decision is that I see at least 3 or 4 wrx/sti's on the road on any give day -- and I see maybe another evo once a week. We stand out :) |
I wonder what trim these brand new Evo IX's are at South Coast and how much? If I could go back I'd get a IX GSR, IX SSL, IX SE & IX MR SE.
I would imagine this set of four brand new Evo IX's to be worth at least $150,000 today. Well, at least they're not being sold for $30k to some idiot who will strip it, weld a cage in it and completely ruin it. Its probably best for South Coast Mitsu to keep them as perfectly new examples of the greatest Evo. |
