Does anyone else's car jingle??

I've owned my evo ix for about 2 months now and have only one thing bugging me. Everytime I go down a bumpy road or over some railroad tracks or even normal bumps, no matter how fast or slow I go there is a jingle somewhere inside! It seems to be coming from the middle pillar where the driver seatbelt comes out. There is no loose change in the car its not my keys and if I thump on the doors or slam them it will not make the noise til I hit a bump. Can't diagnose it while the car is sitting still and everyone I tell when I hear it just thinks im hearing things! Anyone have the same issue or ideas??? Any input is appreciated!

Mine only jingles during the holidays. ha ha, jk.
Try and remove the center console, maybe theres something loose under the console and the trans hump or whatever its called.

Edit...^ Nevermind, I got confused by: middle pillar.

Pull those plastic covers off the b pillars and check. They pop right off, no tools needed.

Is it a squeeking noise coming from the rear passenger side??

Edit: sorry I read your post rather quickly, I am experiencing a similar thing but the noise comes from the rear passenger side.

Sounds like it could be your seatbelt assembly causing that noise. I have seen them get rattly due to some internal issues with them.

It could be coming from somewhere else just sounds like that area! They pop right off? Ill try it this weekend, and are the seatbelt replaceable or just something ill have to live with??

Mine has a rattle from the seatbelt area on the pillar too. I think its that cover for the track it slides up and down on. My music is loud enough that i don't really hear it, but its a loud rattle either.

Mine doesn't have that rattle.... it did however have a rattle right in the center of the dash... fixed it with foam when I covered the dash in suede..... its wasn't a simple fix.

Mine has a little tick on the dash too when its cold kinda annoying to listen to!

yup, I have rattles and whatnot in my car. It sucks. One thing that I will complain about is mitsu's cheap interiors. :(

And that Damn floormat hook! Was missing when I got my car and the hole drives me crazy...

Noriega7 Jan 17, 2012 09:46 PM

I've located the problem, didnt have the time or heat to pull the pillar apart and got a little annoyed and shoved the seatbelt adjustment up kinda hard and there it was problem solved! No more jingle :) thanks everyone for the input!
