Muse o2 Dump Leaking Air

Hello EvoM,

I installed my new Muse o2 dump and used the supplied divided gasket and i'm getting air escaping from the dump tube.. Any ideas?? I even sprayed copper seal on both ends for extra insurance and still nothing...

Any insight would be a great help!

If its from the dump tupe than ur wastegate is not closing properly

check the wga preload. when i installed my o2 dump it was just slightly allowing the flapper to open on the wg and was causing a leak.

I dunno if this is a stupid question, but how do I check the preload??

Don't mean to bump an old thread but i just installed my maperformance o2 dump on my car. Car still boosts 30 psi like it did before however i can hear and feel exhaust coming from the dump pipe at idle. I used the steel divided gasket provided by map. I also insured the bolts were all tight. I did not use copper as i was told it was not needed. I have about a thread and a half left on the WG to adjust it tighter. Since its the dump pipe side doesn't it basically have to be a WG issue with a divided gasket used? Im going to adjust the WG all the way tight and see if it helps but if not what else could it be? I guess it leaked the whole time and the dump allowed me to discover it.

I will also add that i didn't use a doughnut gasket on the exhaust side but it didnt have one on the stock o2 to my DP either and not to mention that would not cause an issue since the dump pipe is completely separated from that via the divided gasket correct?

Adjust the preload on the WG (make it tighter). This fixed the issue i was having..

I had another thread in the engine section where I posted this also and it ended up being the WG preload like u said! No leaks anymore I fixed it last night and still no doughnut gasket but zero leaks! Thanks for the input bro!
