Instrument Panel LED's

I know this topic has been talked about so many times, it's insane. Trust me I went through alot of those threads but have yet to find an answer. If I'm blind, please let me know.

I need to replace the small bulbs for the warning lamps (turn signals, door ajar, intercooler spray, oil, cel, etc.) and I have found the part number from Mitsu, but I have had no such luck finding the right LED replacements for them. I don't know the size! I'm not talking about the main ones like speedo, and tach those are #74, I believe. I'm talking about the 18 others that are much smaller.

Anyone replace those chime in? Also, the replacement for the LCD screen to an LED would be fantastic as well. Thanks guys!

Those are actually for the speedometer, tach, and what not. There's three of those, I need the ones with the black to them and there's 18 of them in the panel in LED. :)

Try them already, too. I didn't see it on there. I removed the two different types of bulbs (black and grey sockets) and the sockets are actually the same, it's the bulb themselves that are different. So that makes it a bit easier but I'm worried about ordering all the same it not looking right. I'll figure that out.

Has anyone ever figured out what LED bulbs work inside headlight leveling, foglight, ic spray switches? They are extremely small. Hell I can't even find the part number for the regular bulbs.

Check with these cats and see what you can come up with. If anyone has the diagrams, please chime in. The GF has been ordering LEDs for her MINI from here and it's been great so far.

the speedometer and tach are not #74; the bulb and housing are attached and do not pull apart

Frew Jun 26, 2012 07:36 PM

What size are the tach and speedo bulbs? Also how many bulbs are there?

you're right they are attached. but if you try to put one of the warning lamps in place of the speedo, and vice versa they fit perfectly. they may be different bulbs but the sockets are the same. including the odometer. So i'm thinking of buying 22 of the same LED bulbs and see how that works. unless they are different voltages, if someone can find that out.

Ah - are the bulbs on the warning lamps removable? I just meant that the bulbs and housings / sockets on the speedo/tach bulbs are one piece as opposed to having a removable bulb

i'm curious to see how this goes, I've wanted a bit brighter dash for a while and if this works out for you and doesn't have hot-spots I may do it too :)

NeoWedge series LED Lamp 5mm - Pick your color - I just picked one up from these guys yesterday. I bought a red one and put it in the spot for the brake warning light. It doesnt twist in it just sits in the hole snug since its not the exact bulb.
