brake help please!

I've run into a problem with bleeding my brakes on my 8.
I've bled brakes before while the brakes were previously full.


so what has happened is I installed new rotors all around. and in the process I disconnected the brake lines. and while they were disconnected I'm sure they drained a decent amount.


while the calipers were off I painted them on the outside and reinstalled them.


I tried to do a two-man brake bleed but it didn't work out.
when my pumper would pump and hold no fluid would come out of the bleed nipples.I'm aware of the bleed procedure as well.


I then went out and bought a vacuum hand bleeder and was able to get the inside nipples to bubble but no flow out of the nipples. it would just bubble.


is there any special procedure that might be necessary after caliper removal. is there something that might have gone wrong while the lines were disconnected?

I'm hoping youre keeping the reservoir filled? And if youre using the power bleeder make sure there is a constant 15psi? (Havent done it in awhile) and make sure you have enough fluid in there as well. Make sure all lines and nipples are tight and arent leaking anywhere. After that there is really no reason it wouldnt work

Yea, check to make sure all bleeder nipples are tight and your keeping the reservoir filled as you go from caliper to caliper

yeah I definitely went to each caliper and tightened all the nipples.
the reservoir is topped off. I can't figure it out.

would a leak in one caliper cause the whole system to lose pressure with the vacuum pump?

yes absolutely, remember everything is forced by fluid so if there is a leak it'll find its way out. check the pistons inside the calipers if all the other areas are covered

You can pull a pad from the closest to the slave and see if it has fluid on it. Its a chain reaction

Make sure you have fluid at all times on the reservoir. I usually do about 3-4 pumps, top it off and repeat until my fluid turns colors (Run blue and amber fluid to know when I have all the old fluid out).
