Car won't start :/
http://youtu.be/KinYunMY69E
Car was fine yesterday when I moved out to wash it. But is a no go this morning. Not sure if it's just the starter or something bigger. Thanks for the input. |
try camshaft position sensor it might get wet and short it out.

Sorry, off topic (or perhaps related to this?) Did you manage to fix your previous issue?
|
did you try putting the car in reverse any gear and rolling it back and forth then trying again? heard of a few people that had to do this to get it to start...
Does pop starting it work? I mean it starts to crank so i would eliminate the starter... Have you tried to hold your foot to the floor and then start it(this kills the injectors) |

Just an update, pulled the starter. No teeth torn up on starter or flywheel. Also, had the starter checked and it's good, bendix is kicking out and spinning. I have spark, and I'm not throwing any codes. Next option? Lol

Then you obviously have a fuel issue. If there is no fuel spark can't ignite anything. Check and see if your fuse for the fuel pump is good and if the pump is even working. I listened to your link after I wrote the above. It sounds like you have no compression to me. Check and see if your timing belt is moving when you turn it over. There is more to it than something simple at least it sounds that way to me. I hope not for your sake though! Come to think of it also it could be that the bendix is not kicking it in far enough. They do go bad. To my ears it sounds like it's not even turning over. Meaning the stater is just freewheeling and not engaging the flywheel. Hope this helps. |

Did your timing belt jumped a tooth? If the belt is lined up correctly it should not be loose ever. Also, an exhaust sound when cranking is a sign that the timing is off. I would turn it and check the timing to see if they all line up.

Do they have to be at TDC? Or can I just count the teeth between them at a relative point?
|
The timing marks on the cam gears need to line up with the marks on the valve cover. And the timing mark on the crank pulley needs to be lined up with TDC on the lower timing cover

Did you spray the bay when washing it? Even if you covered the filter and such, some water still may have found it's way somewhere and caused a fuse to blow or something to short out.
