Curious, EVO IXs some have a pipe at the manifold and some don't.

The pipe runs across the manifold. It appears that the OEM manifold cover has a small cut-out for its, fixing also.

Now this version of IX that does not have it, notice the manifold cover does not have that notch.

Also, I've noticed that this version of the IX has the cable running over the rocker-cover?, notice how this version of IX has a clip and bolt on the rocker-cover (unlike, the one pictured at the top) to hold that ugly cable.

Im assuming thats the accelerator cable?

Yes.

And the cable on top of the valve cover is indeed the throttle cable.

bottom is usdm/left hand drive evo's had to relocate the throttle cable when moving the driving position over.

yes the top picture is indeed antilag or so called SAS secondary air system (non enabled antilag) its on JDM imported models and maybe some AUDM models

jdm evo with antilag. big issues trying to get it to work on usdm evos, need jdm ecu and a bunch of other crap

Yep, OE anti-lag. I actually have nearly the whole setup off an Evo IV (everything minus the UICP) in my basement.
