Evo ix won't start
 

My evo started for about 2 seconds this morning then shut off. Now won't start. Can hear the starter spinning but won't crank. Please help

Check for fuel, spark, and compression. If it cranks but doesn't start, it will be one of those things. Get a fuel pressure gauge and check for fuel pressure. If its good, test your coils and check your plugs. If you have fuel and spark, then you have no compression and your timing belt is probably done.

what do you mean you can hear the start spinning but it wont crank? the start spins but the engine isn't turning over? i.e. the starter isnt engaging with the flywheel?
