Gas, brake and clutch pedal swap
Anyone ever install "aftermarket" pedals on their Evo?
The only one I really need to swap is the clutch pedal because when the bottom of my shoes get wet I am constantly slipping off the clutch pedal which is extremely annoying. Now that we are getting snow it is even worse as a layer of snow gets jammed between the bottom of my shoe and the clutch pedal. How easy of a job is this? Any recommendations on a nice pedal kit? Preferably completely rubber. I noticed that STM has a rubber brake and clutch pedal but if it's not a simple replacement I may just deal with it. For example, I don't want to have to pull out the entire clutch pedal assembly just to replace the pedal pad, if that makes sense. Anyone else have this problem? I think it's due to the rubber on the pedals wearing down to the medal part(s) of the pedals, which obviously causes a slippery surface when wet. |
If you just want all rubber, I ordered a regular Lancer clutch pedal cover to replace mine, after you pull the OEM clutch pedal cover off you should be able to squeeze the new one over the metal.

How easily do the pedal covers come off? Are they simply screwed on? Welded on? Clipped on?

screwed on
