What's a good oil to run in a 2.3

What oils are everyone running? I've been using royal purple. I have a evo8 with a Built 2.3 and 272s. What would you guys recommend?

Water, no additives. And bypass the filter.

Consult your engine builder for proper oil weight, or you can do as stated above lol

I run Brad Penn. Royal purple is way overpriced.

+1, it really depends on the tolerances your engine was built to, generally the looser things are spaced the higher weight oil you will run.

How do I bypass the filter? I changed out my winter oil and put summer oil in.

You should be running something with zddp and or with Molly in it for the turbo. If your not running zddp your slowly killing your turbo, I like running lucus race only in my evo 8 runs strong and I can tell when I have the crappy non-zddp stuff on it. Hope this helps.

Either Brad Penn or Amsoil Z-rod for my cars... the weight is going to depend on what tolerances the engine was built at...

This. I'm partial to ZRod myself.
