Won't go past 20PSI

kinda funny story, I used to have a leaking mechanical boost gauge
With my hallman mbc where it's set at, It used to read 23psi.

Yesterday got a decent electrical boost gauge and it wont do anything more than 20psi
However much i turn the boost up, it only does 20psi.

It's not the new gauge with the problem coz it reads past 20psi in a friends car.

What could be the problem, where do I start troubleshooting? :helpme:

If you turn down the boost controller all the way is it still 20 psi? Could be the waste gate actuator arm might need more preload.

What brand Electrical Boost Gauge is it?

Just updating the thread,,
I got a full set of turboXS ic piping at a very good price and this fixed the problem.

so there was probably a boost leak or many boost leaks on the stock piping.
