2004 Yellow SSL Rarity
Recently picked up a 2004 yellow SSL and have been trying to find production numbers, and coming up with about 40-50 produced in that year, color, and trim. Can anyone help me back this info? Not having good luck online. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

40-50 produced is nonsense and someone pulled that number out of their anus long ago for the 2005 LY SSL, claiming those were the production numbers for that model and color, and it somehow stuck online. Mitsu never gave the production numbers for SSL cars made, and they never gave production numbers for Evo by color either. GL finding it because it isn't out there.
Is a 2004 Evo rare? Yes. 2004 is the rarest Evo year. SSL is less common than other models as well. LY is somewhat rare in general for the Evo. However just because something is rare doesn't mean it's super desirable/valuable vs other models/colors though. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...odel-year.html |
Thank you

I'm puzzled by how certain cars will come in colors they look good in and with a different car it will be different colors.

i don't think it's too rare, but this EVO 7 in this link for it's condition is rare. Even though this is a EVO 7, i am presenting due to the condition.

You have a rare car, yes. When it comes time to sell it, the buyers for a yellow EVO are even more rare.

I had an 04 WW SSL. Loved the seats, hated the sunroof. I'd never consider a yellow one but to each their own.
