Is this really a MR?
I know for the US the MR didn't start until 2005, right? Granted, this is a RHD car so likely not a US car but was there a 2003 MR period?
My research leads me to think this is a VII with a VIII front bumper? Not interested in the car at all just trying to figure out what it actually is... https://www.ebay.com/itm/254159854775?ul_noapp=true |
Was trying to get a good view of the roof. Looking for the 2 telltale horns to indicate alum vs steel. Cant be 100% sure, but dont see those horns
Its does have a 6 speed. Cool that its featured by an exotic used car dealer https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...c946792bbc.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...161e707d93.jpg |
It's declared as Evo MR FQ320, this can be true if the car comes from the UK

It is probably an GSR (6 speed) but not an MR as I believe the MR had some bits from the IX, much less being an FQ. Referencing to this other FQ 320 (https://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=402912)) there's quite a lot that is different, even accounting for the fact that the car lost its external badging through the repaint. https://www.lancerregister.com/attac...1&d=1328183985 What sticks out for me are the missing bespoke wheels and the blacked out headlight buckets externally. https://www.lancerregister.com/attac...1&d=1328185173 It should have the Evo 9 interior, as the VIII MR and the IX share the same black interior, not the blue/grey theme. The MOMO steering wheel should also have black spokes, not silver. Just a last note. For the steering wheel to have that much wear at 114,000kms (60~k miles) the previous owner must have had sandpaper palms. |
