A'PEXi N1 Exhaust Resonator?
 

I have an A'PEXi N1 exhaust on my Evo, and it's much quieter than I prefer. I've noticed that it seems to have what may be a resonator on it. Can anyone confirm? If so, has anyone removed this? I'm afraid it might be too raspy if I do but wanted to get opinions, thanks!

Yeah that's the resonator, there are a number of cbe systems out there that don't come with a resonator. I would look some up on youtube and get a general idea of how that exhaust would sound. I can think of the ETS cbe that doesn't have a resonator so maybe start there?

I'm not looking for another exhaust system at the moment, just wanted to see if anyone else had done this and whether or not it sounded terrible.

I get that I was just recommending you listen to other brands that do not come with a resonator. It will sound similar to that if you removed the resonator from your apexi cbe. Without a resonator on our turbo cars isn't that bad as far as raspiness goes, without the resonator it will just make it louder.

I have a Tomei Ti cbe with no resonator it's not raspy at all, still retains the deep tone. Some complain it's too loud but I am perfectly fine with it.
