What LSD's did Evo 8 & 9 have? USA
 

From my understanding the Evo 8 03-04 did not have front LSD, but the 05 Evo 8 did, and also the Evo 9's. Is this correct? Does the 05 Evo 8 and 06 Evo 9 front LSD fit on the 03-04 Evo 8's? Also, what about center and rear LSDs. Did the Evo 8 and 9 have them, which ones? Are those interchangeable?

The first two years of Evo 8 came with a plated rear differential, viscous center differential and open front differential. Cars sold in the USA had the rear differential plates stacked in such a way as to make then ineffective or broken. Working plated differentials make noise and it was thought, probably correctly, that this would create service calls.

Above is correct. Also remember that the 04 RS had a front LSD.
