timing belt failed prematurely
shifted at 5000rpm and it was done...belts only like 2 and a half years old with barely 49000km on it
shop suspects that the balance shaft seized aint gonna be cheap to fix i assume |
Nope, its going to be expensive. I had a similar failure where the tensioner failed. In my case it broke the valves off and wrecked the cylinder walls so I ended up pulling it and building the motor.
