Screw murphy's law.. problems with greddy turbo timer install, help please!

Well, simple install on my dad's evo (i have a timer in my car), and ill be damned if i dont run into a load of problems, after instaling it i went to test it, didnt hook up the hand brake feature or the speed meter (dont care for it) btw.. now, if i shut the car off but leave the key in ACC, it would count down, but if i tried to take the key out the car would shut off.. WTF?!? so i followed the instructions in the little book they give you which says to switch the settings on the timer from IG to ACC and back, and also the little switch on the back, i tried 50 different times to get it to work, and no such luck.. could it be the greddy harness?? i have heard of people having issues with their harness, but it had to do with stalling.? anybody seen this symptom, and if so what did you do to fix it?? by the way i purchased the greddy turbo timer from road race engineering and they send the timer along with a harness included. Any help would be much appreciated.. thanks

you need to hook up the hand break wire, or just ground the break wire. Then it will worked.

Yea, evo81 is right...that sounds like a case of a wrong harness to me. Did you purchase from LancerShop.com? I've heard of a few mix-ups with the harnesses coming from them.

yeah, it could have been lancershop, i was thinking road race, but now im not even sure.. thanks guys. Ill have to give road race a call on monday and see if the part numbers match on what they were supposed to send me as opposed to what the did send me.

No problem, I hope you get the right harness and you can get that TT in there. :)
