Evo 8 Inner Shaft Question

When installing the axels that go into the transfercase. The rubber part that sticks out a little on the transfer case, does it meet with the shaft steel ring, or is it suppose to cover it?

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...l/DSC04370.jpg

This photo i got from the forum and was described that it poped out.
Not sure if what im asking is confusing, but the green cup (lets call it), has a female end steel ring on it, and the transfer case seems to have the same type of ring but rubber, and im wondering if they meet, or if its suppose to go so far in, that one is basically inside one another. In which case, the Green CUP's steel ring, would cover the transfer case's rubber ring.

Any input appreciated.

found a picture on evomoto, and seems it does. Now could someone give me some insight on why mine doesn't seem to want to go in any further ? Freshly built tc.

I would guess that you don't have the output shaft in far enough.

I actually had it pushed in all the way. What i had to do, was just grab the Green Box and just slide it towards the transfercase.
